The family of Rick Lawrence Bronish from Thornton, Colorado is sad to announce the passing of their cherished husband and father. Rick peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at the age of 67 in his home after bravely battling illness.
Rick was born in Denver on October 31, 1956, and raised in the Denver area, where he graduated from Sheridan High School in 1974. He then volunteered his service in the U.S. Army, where he served with distinction as a communications technician, receiving commendation medals and achievement awards before being honorably discharged in 1985 with the rank of Sergeant.
Rick married Jasan Carole Bronish (nee Olbert) in 1996 and together they made a home in Thornton. The couple raised four sons, Richard Allen Bronish and Kristopher Lee Bronish, step-son Robert Howard Richardson; and their own son, Kevin Lawrence Bronish.
Throughout his career, Rick held various roles, including a security guard, handyman, civil servant and grocer. Beyond his professional endeavors, he found immense joy in his family life and dedicated many years of service as a Boy Scout leader. He also pursued personal hobbies that included stamp and coin collecting, and bowling.
He is survived by his loving wife Jasan, his sons Richard, Kristopher, and Kevin, his stepson Robert, his sister Donna Carter and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence, his mother, Alice Majerus, his stepfather, Gene Bachman, and his sister, Sandra Covey.
