Jack was born May 4, 1932, in Spur, Texas to Jack Clifford Simmons Sr. and Rosalie Baker. He graduated from Spur High School and worked 40 years as Operator for El Paso Natural Gas Company. He was highly interested in his relationship with Jesus and his Christian faith, gardening, and being with his friends and family. Jack served with the Army in Germany from 1953 to 1955 as Military Police in B Company of the 9th Ordnance Battalion securing nuclear weapons storage.
Jack is predeceased by his wife, Sonnie Louise Simmons and son, Jack Clifford Simmons III (Trey).
Jack is survived by Kenneth Bruce Simmons, Rick Dwain Simmons, Robert Shane Simmons, and Scott David Simmons, by grandchildren Bridget McCurdy, Taylor Simmons, Addison Simmons, Jack Clifford Simmons IV (Jake), Ryan Bain, and Kaelee Wallace, great grandchildren Hendrix McCurdy, Harlan McCurdy, Hudson McCurdy, Vivian McNeel (Vivi), William McNeel, and Halen McCurdy.
Services for Jack will be held by the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to International Fellowship of Christians and Jews would be appreciated.
