Debra Ann Simpson “Debe”, beloved wife and mother died June 2nd, 2021. Debe was born and raised in Richmond B.C. and graduated from Steveston High School in 1973. Debe studied at UBC (Notary Public/Executive Master of Business Administration) and held a Master of Laws from York University Osgoode Hall Law School. Debe had an accreditation as an Employee Assistance Program Mediator, was admitted to the Mediate BC’s Civil Roster in 2002, was a member of Family Mediation Canada, a past Director of Family Mediation BC, served as Vice President on the Board of the BC Council of Administrative Tribunals and on the disciplinary panel of the BC College of Veterinarians. Debe’s career path included WorkSafe, BC Residential Tenancy Branch, her private mediation practice and finally her appointment as Vice Chair at Workers Compensation Appeals Tribunal. Debe’s passion was her family, her work, our family dog; Pepper, travelling and sailing. Preceded in death by her parents Albert and Margaret Molley. Debe is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, David; son Liam, many cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be Mass at Gardens of Gethsemani on July 9th at 1:00pm followed by prayer service at 2:00pm.
