i saw ilse at postgraduate for close to 3years she helped thru some rough times i will always keep in my heart and hope that she with angels she often loved the my stories of the adventures of my crazy cat i will always remember the laughs we had about those adventures god bless u ilse

I found this by Googling Ilse; she told me she had a medical procedure & her recovery time would be long. See, I was one of Ilse's clients for the past 3 years. She was very compassionate & understanding.
My father passed away from Stage 4 head and neck cancer two days after Ilse. Ilse kept a pokerface about her own situation- whatever it was- when I was describing what I was going through with my father. Now I wish she would've hinted about her situation. I had to stop therapy toward the end of March to be with Dad 24-7, so the last time I spoke to Ilse was in the beginning of April when she called my house to let me know she'd be leaving; I was the last of her clients to be told. 
My heart goes out to her family and friends & I'll treasure the insight she brought to me. -Jennifer W.-

In the fall of 1970 @ West High School, Bakersfield, California, two shy freshmen shared their secret poetry and dubbed themselves "Aquarian writer friends". We spent Saturdays huddled on the floor of the local bookstore, devouring books of poetry, and promising to dedicate our first book of poetry to each other.  Ilse always maintained a positive look on life, embracing and living life to the fullest!  My mother (Rose) and I hold close the fondest memories of Ilse and her devoted friendship.

Ilse was such an amazing, beautiful person we will always remember with a smile.

It was such a treat to see Ilse's smiling face at Postgrad and getting to know what a special person she was.  Ilse touched my heart, I miss her and I will always remember her with a smile.

Ilse had such a wonderful spirit. My thoughts go out to Larry and her family. I will miss her very much.

How wonderful it was to have Ilse in our family.  She was such an inspiration whether was her hunger for education, her beautiful photography work or her free spirit.  She will always have a very special place in my heart!  xxoo  Dorothy

I always admired Ilse for her strength, positive attitude, courage and always wanting to learn something new. After viewing all the wonderful pictures I can see just how full her life with Larry was.  My only regret was that they lived so far away and I was not able to visit enough.  I will miss her deeply.

I love looking at the photos of Ilse! Such a beautiful smile. She was so happy and wonderful to be around. I looked at the pictures while listening to "Best That You Can Do" by Christopher Cross. I remember Ilse playing that for me while we were laying on her bed. I was about 7 and she and Larry were getting ready to move back east.

Ilse will live on in all our hearts. She was the most special person and will be remembered always.
