John Coppe

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Coppe had previously lived in Indiantown, as well as Jensen Beach, Florida for the past forty years.

He was an iron worker for Local Union #1 in Chicago, Illinois and West Palm Beach Local #402 in Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Mr. Coppe was a member of the American Legion Post 126, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1690, and Amvets Post 92.

He was an avid skydiver, and was a longtime member of the United States Parachute Association. Using his license number, D-265, he logged over 3500 jumps in his career.

Mr. Coppe was a veteran of the United States Marines.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristy Crawford, and her husband, Neal of Okeechobee, Florida; son, John Coppe and his wife, Dana of Niles, Illinois; three sisters, Irene Schumaker of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rachel Bauwens of Glenview, Illinois, and Marion Coppe of Michigan; and five grandchildren, Jonathon, Kutter, Jessalyn, Jayden and Johnny.

Mr. Coppe was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Coppe.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida.
