Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday january 24, 2013 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40.
Mrs. Walker was born June 5, 1918, in Esmond, N.D., to Peter and Margaret Miller. She married Crist Wentz in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1944. She then married Kenneth Walker in 1961; he preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Walker was the owner of Burns Cafe in Albuquerque, N.M., for 10 years before moving to Amarillo in 1973. She worked for Furrs Cafeteria in Western Plaza until she retired in 1985. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Joe, Rochus and Ignats, amd two sisters, Eva and Katherine
Survivors include a daughter, Marlene McSpadden of Canyon; three grandchildren, Doug Gibson and Sandy Balentine, both of Amarillo, and Kim Chandler of Blueridge; and four great-grandchildren, Keri, Jimmy, Taylor and Skyler.
