Kelli had a deep love for her family and her children (and all of their friends). She enjoyed playing with her dogs and taking them on long walks. In her spare time, you could find Kelli in her yard taking care of her many plants. After 35 years of service, she retired from a career that she loved with the Louisiana State Police.
Kelli is survived by her husband, Clay Smith; daughter, Jessie Smith; son, Gabriel Smith (Cassidy Buechle-Curtis); mother, Jessie Benton; father, Bonnie Fussell (Emily); sister, Kim Corkern; nephews, Matt Corkern, Cory Smith (Hailey), Chase Smith (Jayme) and her favorite buddy, Colton.
She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Jim Benton and her in-laws, Frank and Louise Smith.
A visitation for Kelli will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government St., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM.
