Thomas Luther Sautters

Tom was born on April 18, 1942, in Canton to the late Charles and Vera (Geitgey) Sautters. Tom was a graduate of Hoover High School in North Canton, and then went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. On June 13, 1964, he married Barbara Billing, and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. In, 1966 he joined the Air Force and served until he was Honorably Discharged in 1969. Then in 1976, he joined the National Guard and served for 22 years until he retired in 1998. Tom also worked as an accountant for Ansel Perry Rubber Company for almost 26 years until he retired in 1999 as their Chief Finance Officer and Vice President of Finance. He was a past member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in North Canton. Tom enjoyed golfing, and after his retirement, he worked part-time at Edgewood Golf Course. He was also a member of Sportsman Shooting Center where he participated in trap-shooting. He liked to take his dog, Max, out bird hunting. He also loved to go fishing and took many trips to Canada with his family and friends.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, one child Bryan (Kathy) Sautters and two grandchildren, Evan and Brennan, of New Hartford, CT, and one sister, Nancy Grobmeier of Chandler, AZ.

Calling hours for Tom will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Karlo-Libby Funeral Home and on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Anders officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Tom's name to Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 7707 Market Ave N., Canton, OH 44721 and donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
