She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Douglas Donald Heim; parents, Michael and Cornelia Munley; brothers: Michael, Jimmy and Donald Munley; and, brothers-in-law: Mitch Manesiotis and Richard Heim.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Engel (Peter); sons: Doug Heim, Jr. (Susanne), Philip Heim (Susan) and Joseph (Sam) Heim (Debra); grandchildren: Elizabeth Henke (Kevin), Elizabeth Engel (Daniel), Erich Engel (Jamie), Jessica, Zackary, Richard, Andrew, Norah and Michaela Heim; great-grandchildren: Cuyler and Charlotte Henke, Naomi Whitehead and Lainey Heim; siblings Mary (Peach) Simpson (James), Pat Munley (Donna), Susan Pernell, Kevin Munley, Larry Munley (Karen) Jerri Foley (Mike), Ranse Munley (Evon) Jean Calhoun (Bob), Barbara Manesiotis; a special cousin Mary Evans (Kenny); and, her brother-in-law Robert Heim.
Kitty grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She attended Catholic school and graduated from W&L High School in 1958¬¬, where she made many lifelong friendships. Kitty will be most remembered for her endearing laugh. She enjoyed laughing with friends and family, boating on Lake Murray, traveling, listening to music, and watching tennis and movies. She was a gifted flower arranger and party planner. She felt especially blessed to have 12 siblings and a large extended family. Kitty was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Chapin.

A local funeral Mass will be celebrated in Chapin at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on June 25 at 1:30 PM. Inurnment at Arlington Cemetery and Mass at St. Philip Catholic Church will be celebrated in Falls Church, Virginia at a later date.
