Audrey Hall Barwick

She was born on March 12, 1938 in Springville, Utah, the sixth of seven children to be born to Theron Smith Hall and Dorothy Lufkin Davenport Hall. She was raised in Springville, and graduated from Springville High School and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in nearby Provo.

Throughout her life Audrey was always kind, considerate and loving of others. For much of her life she endured pain from health challenges, but always managed to smile and be cheerful.

While serving in the US Navy, her older brother Clifton, who was stationed in Maryland at the time, became friends with Ronald Barwick. Clif invited Ron to come to Utah to meet his family. A few years later Ron enrolled at BYU, then headed west with Clif’s step-son who also planned to attend BYU. On the way they stopped in Springville to see Clif’s family, and Ron met Audrey. A short time later Ron and Audrey began dating and were later married in Manti, Utah September 15, 1959. Together they had three children. Ron and Audrey were happily united until he passed away August 14, 2009, just one month shy of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Audrey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was gifted musically and learned to play both the piano and organ at a very early age. For many years she taught piano lessons to help support her children on missions and in college in addition to being a wonderful homemaker.

She will be greatly missed by her three children: Sharon (Jim) Wilson of Roswell, New Mexico; Ronald H. (Karen) Barwick of Phoenix, Arizona; Steven G. (Janine) Barwick of Euclid, Ohio.

She will also be missed by 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, her older sister, Phyllis Ioane, and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Grandchildren include: Chris Wilson, Scott Wilson, Ronald D. (Lindsey) Barwick, Alan (Sandra) Barwick, David (Chelsea) Barwick, Allison (Kirk) Ramsey, Emily Madsen, Amy (Jason) Moore, Lee Barwick, Joseph (Sierra) Barwick, Sandra Barwick, Danielle (Jared) Yates, Maren Barwick, Nathan Barwick, Taylor Barwick.

Great-grandchildren include: Tayli, Ayden, Quinn, Navy, Gracie, Faith, Hope, Owen, Ford, June, Brooks Barwick; Danica, Harper, Tatum, Harley Ramsey; Joey, Graham Madsen; Olivia, Chloe, Kennan, Maisie, Preston Moore; Thaddeus, Viggo, Naomi, Everett, Levi Barwick.

She was predeceased by her parents, Theron and Dorothy Hall; siblings Barbara Clark, Clifton Hall, Hilton Hall, Allan Hall and Dorothy Floyd; and one grandson in-law, Austin Madsen.

A viewing for Audrey will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8702 West Campbell Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85037. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
