Happy Mothers Day MOM! 2015, Your Son Jay

Happy Birthday MOM! Thinking about you....

Love Always

Jan, You were a Celebration of Life !

          An Irish Prayer
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight that ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you waken in the morning hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of a quiet bird in circled flight.
I am the the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die.

Thank you Jan, for you !
Love, Karen Fitzgerald Allen

Don, having had the pleasure of dining and sitting next to Jan with your posse in Hilton Head, Barb and I wish to extend our sincere condolences to you and your family.

Mom, as much as you taught me in LIFE, you taught me even more as you heroically embarked on your "journey" we call Death. My love for you and my faith that I will see you again are STRONGER than ever. How could they not be when 4 days before your passing, with most of your earthly body shutting down you proudly declare "I have an announcement. This has been the BEST day EVER!" Remember when you told us that there was " a man in the room celebrating my life" as you bravely waited to leave this world? Mom, that is what I will be doing everyday God grants me in this life and I am privilidged to have shared the last 47 years of my life with such a special -wonderful creation of his.

To Don and Family, I want you to know how saddened I am for your loss. Please accept my prayers and love as you get through these very difficult times.

We have had the privilege of knowing Janet for 36 years. Her great sense of humor, smile and quick wit, we will always remember. She was a great friend, excellent Mother and Grandmother and super wife. God Bless you Janet. We loved you. PS I'm still glad I threw you in the pool.

The world was a better place thanks to Jan. She will be missed! Many Blessings!

Jan was one of the first people to welcome us to the Lake Nona community when we moved here. She had a big heart and loving way about her. Thinking of her today it seems like she was the matriarch of Lake Nona for sure. She will be terribly missed by all and certainly never forgotten. Our hearts go out to the family of this wonderful lady.

Don:
Our hearts go out to you and your family today. Jan was a dear and couragous woman. Her smile lit up a room and, no matter her circumstances, there was always one on her face whenever we met. Take peace in knowing she is smiling today in the arms of her Savior. May God bless and keep you all during this difficult time.

Our Love - Alice and Bert Reid

Looking at the pictures, so many memories I cannot believe how much she was a part of my childhood, my life. All the things she did with and for me. She was a wonderful Mother...she will be missed so deeply. I will miss you Jan. My heart and prayers with Don, Kevin, Mark, Jay and Robbie.

Dear sweet Jan,
Did I know her long? not really. We met through a card game. Jan decided to play with our euchre group and we couldnt imagine why. Not a difficult game, certainly not up to her level of intelligence. She seemed a little annoyed with us, kinda crabby actually. But she kept coming back. She was patient. Like a good teacher, Jan guided our group to become more aware- talk on politics, current events, religion and health and her beloved books! We grew to know each other and care - about our kids, husbands, grandkids and even pets She gave us many gifts of herself. In return,I like to think we gave Jan a good laugh each week and a hug, we are a hugging group. We gave Jan lots of grief and even tried to talk her into giving a piece of her jewelry as a prize. She made us better-Personally, i think i curse less because of Jan. We all developed a strong bond much to the efforts of Jan and no one wants to miss our thursday mornings- She challenged us yet showed her love by trying to do everything in her power to be with us until it was impossible to play. I know all the ladies of Lake Nona whether its the card group, bible study or book club feel blessed to have seen her shine. As a mother, as a wife, as a grandma and friend, a life to be proud of from beginning to end.
may God bless you dear Jan. love, janine smulyan and jim budden

Jay,

My heart, thoughts & prayers go out to you & your family at this difficult time.

These things I know for sure: 1. Jan is in heaven with her God and happy. She and I talked many times about our love for Our Savior. 2. She loved you all with all her being.....this we also spoke of. 3. Jan was one of the smartest women I have ever known and I always came away better informed. She was a teacher and I her student. 4. She was a warrior and mighty person. 5. I loved her and so much of our time together was spent laughing. 6. I will miss her greatly. God be with all of you during this time, Hila

Don,

My prayers are with you and your sons as you mourn the passing of Janet. She will reside in heaven and make heaven a better place. God Bless her.

Janet, your passing leaves us all lesser endowed. You have been a true friend all these years. You opened yourself, your home, and your caring nature, making every time we were together special. Friendships are treasures, and the one we shared with you and Don made each of those years poignant and pleasant memories. God bless you and keep Don through this grief.

Jan touched so many people and made such a contribution to the Lake Nona family. She will be missed.
Dick Lallos and Diane

Such a strong, wonderful, special lady. There is no question she has touched many and will definitely be missed. Some of the true character has left our world. Blessings to her and the family. Lloyd and Susie

The world will never be the same. Dixie & Gray

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you today. We have so many great memories of Jan, I wish we could be there to share them. Most of all she was a caring friend and an inspiration to me when I was ill. We will miss her.

Don and Family,

We were so sorry to hear of Jan's passing, but know she's in a better place now. What a fight she fought for so very long! We won't be able to come for the Memorial Service, but know we are thinking of you and sending prayers for comfort and only good memories. Love, Roy & Deb

Janet...although we never met personally my association with your family is greatly appreciated by myself and my family. You have 4 strong loving sons and a wonderful husband that will at first be exremely sad for losing you to God for now, but will soon after rejoice and smile at all the wonderful memories of your time here on earth with a vision towards being with you someday in heaven, in peace and wonderful tranquility. Look after them until you see them again, as you will, when you are all reunited in spirit, and in God's glory.
