Steve Sendlein, 83, of Henderson, passed away on April 23, 2024. Steve was born on October 19, 1940 in Riverside, California. He lived most of his life in Henderson, NV, graduating from Basic High School in 1958. Shortly after, Steve joined the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 525 and retired at the age of 55. He did not waste time enjoying life. He invested in traveling, a variety of hands-on projects, time with friends and family, always with a dog by his side. Some of his best times were spent at his home away from home in Caliente. Caliente brought many adventures to him, as well as his family and friends. He enjoyed the peace and surrounding beauty; he took part in ranching, home improvements, getting into a little mischief, and tinkering around with projects. Steve also enjoyed making trips to San Felipe, especially with his sister Maggie over the years. Steve is remembered as a brother, father, grandfather, uncle, troublemaker, and long-time friend. Over the years, we’ve been able to enjoy his sense of humor, admire his appreciation for hard work and drive for the fun and adventure in life. Family and friends will be hosting his funeral mass at St. Peter the Apostle in Henderson on Tuesday, May 7th at 10 am followed by the burial, and a 12 pm luncheon to share our favorite stories and celebrate the life well lived.
