An Anglophone from Montreal, she met a Francophone from Vancouver in Kamloops. Her first two children Cal and Jo Ann were born there before the family moved to Burnaby where Joel was born.
Always a steadfast supporter of Dad through trail, tabulations, moves and business, she never wavered. She helped build a successful excavating business in Burnaby and was always ready for another boating adventure.
Mom was frugal and a good money manager and was always willing to lend her children money to help with home purchases. Lend being the operative word!
Near the end of their lives Mom honored Dad’s wish to return to Kamloops area when they moved to Merritt. They passed within a year of each other not far from where they met and started their life together.
