Dear Brenda's family:

My heartfelt condolences to you. I just learned of her death, and am deeply saddened. I did not know your mother personally, but she is with me every day as I use her knitting bags daily. I love them, and  often looked online to see if she had new items, but now I see that her webpage is gone.  She was so talented! Hugs from Arizona.

I met Brenda when working for IH and became quick friends  after 4 of us employees from different departments had babies within 1 month of each other! Brenda was the 3rd one to deliver and I was the last..I was mad at her for weeks because she named her dtr the same name I was going to name my girl (knowing sex of the child wasn’t available then), but quickly forgave her and named my dtr Jaclyn. After a few months off on Mat leave we all returned to work and Brenda and I quickly became good work friends. She was soo funny and a hard worker and after retiring we lost touch but met up again when she walked into Fabricland last year where I worked PT.  We picked up our sarcastic humour and friendship immediately and was always  going to ‘get together’ but we didn’t ever get out of our sewing rooms to meet.  I think she was always making sure she made and sold more bags than me!!  Brenda was one of a kind and I am doubly blessed to have had met up again many years later with such an incredibly talented, hilarious, and  beautiful woman, not knowing the brief time she had left on this earth. Rest in peace Brenda, although I know you are probably still sewing just to win! Miss you…Lori

Lesley, Kevin and family. My sincere condolences. I just loved your mom, I worked with her at Interior Health, she was a hoot. Loved her happiness, big smiles, and friendly to all. And I had the pleasure of meeting, and assisting Kevin for a few yrs. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree(great sense of humour)😆

My sincerest condolences to all of Brenda's family. What a sad and heartbreaking time for you.. I grew up in Claresholm and went to the same grade as Brenda..I have so many wonderful memories of our childhood together. I am so grateful that I could get to Kelowna and see her before Covid..That visit will always be extra special to me..Brenda was such an incredible human and friend..I sm so sorry you have lost her. I don't know if there are words to describe how we feel. But we wanted you to know that I am so thankful for the many happy childhood memories with you and your mom, and we love that our kids got to make some with her too.
Like you said, we will cherish our handmade gifts from her always.
Her vivacity was incomparable, and she will be missed by soo many!

So sorry to hear of Brenda’s passing.  I’m now very thankful that it was only recently we had the opportunity to all gather once again  for Merle’s celebration of life.  Lots of reminiscing and shared many laughs.
