Harley is predeceased by his father Harold Munster and brother Paul Munster. He is survived by his mother Madeline Munster, siblings Nancy (Paul) Weatherall, Holly (Rob) Munster, Krista Munster as well as nieces and nephews Adam, Jessica, Sarah, Justin and Kyle; great nephews Aiden and River, as well as extended family. He was born in Nova Scotia and moved to B.C. when he was 7 years old and remained close to family in B.C. until his passing.
Harley enjoyed music, especially Sheryl Crow, Elvis and Blondie and was an avid movie fan. He will always remind us the importance of embracing and enjoying the simple the things in life; music, sunglasses, shoelaces, mountain views and bus rides. Spending time with family during Holidays and Birthdays were always looked forward to and celebrated. Harley remained a positive, kind, giving person through all his life. He made many friends in the community through past involvement and volunteering with Canada Mental Health Association. (CMHA)
He was incredibly giving and more than willing to share whatever he had with others. All of his family is grateful to have had him in our lives, his sense of humor and genuineness will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Harley was truly one of the good ones.
Thank you to Dr. Williams, Dr. Madigoe and the Palliative Care Team for their care.
Special thanks to everyone at White Heather Manor who became Harley’s extended family over the past several years. The staff celebrated his achievements, supported him through difficult times; while providing dignity and compassion. They acknowledged, appreciated and encouraged Harley’s kind soul. For their attentive kindness in making his final journey a peaceful one; we can’t thank you enough.
A private family Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyviewfuneralhome.com for the Munster family.
