Donna Marie Mueller, born on December 21, 1954, to Leonard and Helen Joy, left this world surrounded by her loving family on April 28, 2024, at the age of 69. She was the cherished wife of Doug Mueller for 18 and a half years, a devoted mother to Ryan Calus, and a nurturing stepmother to Alexa (Scott) Siwicki and Ashley Mueller. Donna found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Carter Siwicki, showering him with love and affection.
As a sister to Nancy (Harry) Davidson, Diane Joy, and Kathy (Gary) Peters, Donna embraced her family bonds with warmth and care. She took great delight in her role as an aunt to Annie Brodsky, Nicole (Dustin) Haney, Alex (Stephanie) Brodsky, Corey Brodsky, Andy (Julia) Peters, and Emily (Jared) Dietzel. Her love extended to her great-nephews Liam Haney, Finn Haney, and Lucas Brodsky, who she adored. She was also the beloved daughter-in-law of Eric (Julie Runyan) Mueller and the late Marilyn Mueller. She developed a close relationship with her sister-in-laws, Julie Bradley, Laura (Kreig) Kuiper, and Beth Mueller.
Donna's journey through life was marked by her loving spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She graduated from Livonia Stevenson High School and furthered her education at Schoolcraft College, earning an associate degree. For over 30 years, she contributed her talents to Farmer Jack before retiring from Trott and Trott Legal firm in 2021.
Among her passions, Donna found rejuvenation in traveling to destinations with water, relishing in the beauty of the beach and the tranquility of boating. Her green thumb found expression in her love for gardening and the cultivation of the greatest backyard in Michigan. Her heart overflowed with affection for animals, particularly dogs, for whom she lovingly cared both as a devoted dog mom and as a trusted sitter for friends and family.
An avid reader and valued member of her book club, Donna had a love for literature that was evident in her cozy discussions and cherished friendships. Her culinary skills were legendary, with her famous chocolate chip cookies, pies, and Christmas treats bringing joy to all who tasted them.
Donna's home was a haven of warmth and hospitality where her nieces and nephews (and a few sweet golden retrievers) found comfort and love. Her easygoing nature and genuine kindness endeared her to all who knew her, instantly turning strangers into friends.
Donna’s family meant everything to her, and her love knew no bounds. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of everyone who knew her, but her legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the cherished memories of those whose lives she touched.
A visitation for Donna will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A memorial service will occur Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home.
