James is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Doris Allen. He is survived by his two daughters, Chris (Charles) Alexander, and Sandra Strength; grandchildren, Amanda and Madyson Strength; sister-in-law, Myrtle Peeples; brother-in-law, Gene Fountain; and cousins, Donnie and Doris Bankston.
James was a past Master at Bluff Park Masonic Lodge, an active Shriner at Zamora Temple, an avid Harley motorcycle rider, fisherman, and amateur radio enthusiast.
Services will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Monday, April 25 at 11 am with visitation one hour prior in the chapel.
