Kirk was always smiling and full of energy !
I loved seeing him and Victor in my Zumba class. My deepest condolences. 
May he’s soul be a peace , he had a beautiful soul.

It was always a pleasure to stop by the office, but Fridays held a special kind of joy. Visiting the lively Friday crew, especially with Kirk at the helm as DJ, was truly something to look forward to. His cubicle was always filled with great music, and his energy had a way of lifting everyone’s spirits and putting an extra pep in my step.

He is already deeply missed, but his music and the joy he shared will continue to live on in our hearts forever.

Victor, a wonderful person has departed this life to move on to the next.  Kirk was such a nice person inside and outside. Always with a smile. Always saying hello and interested in one's well being.
He was the foundation of the Compton Beautification Committee who was committed to improving not only the surroundings but also in bringing the tenants together.
The Committee will continue with his legacy in the upkeep on the garden. May his soul rest in peace.

My deepest condolence to the family and friends of Kirk Buddy. Although I did not know Kirk for a long period of time while at York, he was a delight to be around especially in the office everyone KNEW he was present just by the sound of his music playing from his cubicle. 

Kirk you will forever be remembered, praying for his family strength as they navigate through their time of bereavement.

My deepest condolence to Kirk's family and loved ones. He was such a light in the cooridor that we share.  When I moved into my new space, he welcomed me and offered to help me decorate my space with photos.  Also, when we got our new fish tank for the suite that I'm in,  he was so excited and brought in plants to place around it.  Funny story, so one Saturday, I was bored and went to Macy's to walk around.  Someone approached me from behind and said, "sir, can I help you today?"  I turned around and it was Kirk being playful.  We had such a good laugh.  Although I didn't know him long, I knew enough.  Vibrant, funny, happy and just a good person.  The cooridor will never be the same.  RIP. --Nick

Kirk Buddy was a valued member of the York College community. As Coordinator of the Art History program at York College, I had the opportunity to work with him on guiding a student in a graphic design internship for the Southeast Queens Film Festival that I organized at the college with the Southeast Queens Center for History and Culture this semester. Kirk was generous with his time and feedback, and was a source of great encouragement during the  student's challenging internship assignment: the student worked on the entire graphic design campaign for the film festival. Thanks to Kirk's kind collaboration, the festival's graphic design campaign was a success and the student had an important career-building experience. I'm profoundly saddened to hear of his passing and express my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Your smile could brighten any room! You will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

So long, dear Kirk, you will be deeply missed at the office. You were such a delight to everyone here at York & it seems so unfair that you've been called away so very soon.

Kirk was my favorite person in the whole world. 30 years of knowing him, even with  our busy hectic schedules, he always showed up to bday outings, bbqs and holiday get togethers for everyone. Just seeing him with his smile and is contagious laugh  just brightened my day always. I always looked forward to seeing Kirk and Victor.  Anyone who knew him was so lucky to be sprinkled with his love and joy of life. 

Kirk you will always be remembered and have a piece of my heart forever ❤️

Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your son. Kirk was loved and appreciated by his colleagues at York College, and his absence will be deeply felt.
I will always remember his laugh, his smile, and the warmth he brought into every room. He had a way of lifting the spirits of those around him, and his kindness and personality made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
I am still shocked and saddened by his passing. The last time I saw him, he unexpectedly bumped into me, gave a little chuckle, and simply said, "Hey." It was such a small moment, but it perfectly captured the friendly and genuine person he was, and it is a memory I will always carry with me.
His contributions to York College and the positive impact he had on so many people will continue to live on in our hearts.

I was lucky to know Kirk as a highly skilled professional with whom I loved working at York College. Over the past two years, he helped me publicize several faculty events by discussing my vision of the events, and then designing striking fliers, always giving me options from which to choose. I so much appreciated Kirk's patience, playfulness, and good cheer, how hard he worked, how much he cared about the quality of his work and all of us at the College.  The way he had a row of different-colored M&M figures on a shelf in his cubicle. The way all of us knew we could always count on him to get things done, and do them well. The way he beamed with delight when I would tell him the event was a success.  That's how I will remember him: smiling and laughing and cheering us on.

I am heartbroken by the loss of my colleague and friend. Kirk’s caring, support and kindness made a lasting impact on so many lives including mine. 
I will always be grateful for his cheerful “good morning greetings”, his big hugs and the music he played each day to keep us in a good vibe.
I will carry Kirk’s memory with me always. He was our family😢

In the photo, we were visiting another CUNY campus. Kirk was always about having a good time, even while working. We talked, laughed and behaved like a bunch of silly kids that day.  

He was the life and light of our office and our music man. He came into the office with a smile and left with a smile. The Ancestors have welcomed someone special into their ranks. They are in for a ride! Decorate the joint for them and show them how to welcome you to your new home! We know how you do!

Kirk was an amazing friend. He had a  genuine and pure soul. He was a positive influence in my life. He believed in community, inclusiveness and living your best life.
