In 1982, Fariba left Iran in pursuit of furthering her education, a privilege she held to the highest degree. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, she married the love of her life, Fariborz Behzadpour, and moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1990 to start her family. While in Kansas, she completed both her Doctorate in Medicine and her family medicine residency at the University of Kansas and selflessly served her community as a physician for the following 22 years. As a dedicated Baha’i, she devoted her life to the service of The Baha’i Faith, furthering the cause of God for establishing the unity of mankind, and contributing to our ever-advancing civilization on earth.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Tahereh Vahabi.
