We have all been blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Gino. Whether his wisdom was shared over an espresso, a meal or while making his famous prosciutto and salami with his apprentices, Gino knew best… always…
His beloved garden was a simple reflection of his devotion to his family and his friends. He nurtured his family with fierce love, kindness, and counsel. We are enriched because of him. In simple terms, he was a man who loved deeply and was deeply loved. The seeds have been handed down and his incredible legacy will live on in all of us.
With sadness, we announce Gino Martino’s passing on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in his family home, surrounded by his loving family and devoted caregivers. Gino is now reunited with the love of his life, Giuseppina (2018). He is together again with his son Eugenio (2019), brother-in-law Tommaso (2017) and son-in-law Mike (1981).
Gino is the loving father of Sandra (Ian), Rosaria “Rosie” (Cliff) and Francesca (Ron). Proud Nonno to his grandchildren: Tanya, Tina, Aaron (Daniela), Zachary, Dean, Audrey and great-grandchildren: Olivia (Moe), Angelica (Alex), Vivian, Francesca, Adriano and Sofia. Dear brother to Antonio, Mario, Carmela (Pasquale), Ida, Assunta, Silvana and brother-in-law to Elena and Giustina. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Our family wishes to thank his devoted caregivers Annabel and Amanda who have looked after Gino so lovingly. We also wish to thank his Personal Support Workers, Joe, Vilma, Christine and Lisa as well as Nurses Rami and Elaine. Thank you to Dr. Adam Wilson for continuing to care for Gino during this time.
