Jason Drew Crowell

Jason Drew Crowell, of Sandwich, passed away peacefully with his parents by his side on March 4, 2021. Jason spent his life fighting Cystic Fibrosis and in 2018 had a double lung transplant. Jason was strong and was a fighter but his lungs succumbed to the rejection.

Jason was a fourth generation farmer, working with his family on Crow Farm. Jason loved working on the farm and being free outdoors. He was an integral part of modernizing the Orchards and Greenhouses. This was Jason’s dream to work by his father’s side and keep the family farm flourishing.

Jason loved playing and watching sports. Jason played baseball, football and basketball through School. Football was always his favorite. After he was out of school he played on softball leagues with his step father, where some great friends were met. Jason was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, both with bow and gun.

Jason’s greatest love was for his son Hunter. Jason took parenting seriously and put his all into providing Hunter everything he could. He was homeschooling Hunter, teaching him how to be a good person and be considerate of others. The two of them spent every day together. They did everything together from walks on the farm, fishing, organizing their pokemon cards, working on a coin collection and having those down to earth discussions about being a good thinker and making good decisions. Jason knew his time with Hunter was limited and it was so important to Jason to leave Hunter with a good foundation. We are very proud of Jason and the drive he had to do his best while he was here with us. Jason will always be loved by his family and friends and will be profoundly missed.

Jason was predeceased by his brother Nathan Crowell and Grandparents Howard and Judy Crowell. Jason is survived by his son Hunter Crowell, mother Christine Drew and husband Nick Silva, father Paul Crowell and wife Ellen, Nick’s children Jessica and Brett, Ellen’s children Joe and Amy Ford, Grandparents Ronald and Polly Drew, Aunts and Uncles; Jody and Gary Fox, Randy Drew and Sharon Grenier, Lynn and Steve Smolinsky, Jean and David Fenton, cousins; Dan and Steve Smolinsky and Adam and Ben Fenton.
