STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Luis Arturo Molina, 74, of Clifton, a retired maintenance worker, died yesterday in the New Vanderbilt Nursing Home, Clifton, where he had been a resident for the past five years.
Born in Ecuador, Mr. Molina emigrated to Brooklyn in 1969.
Mr. Molina was a maintenance worker for 20 years for the former Richmond Cleaning Co., Stapleton. He retired in the late 1990s.
He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Stapleton.
Mr. Molina enjoyed riding his bicycle. He also loved raising his dogs and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
"My uncle was a caring man who loved children and loved animals and was a just a great guy who will be sorely missed," said his nephew, Edwin Molina.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, the former Yolanda Guzman; two brothers, Miguel and Hugo Molina, and one sister, Gloria Garcia.
The funeral will be Friday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
