Carolyn Ann Plaza

Mrs. Plaza, an office manager for a medical device manufacturer, was born on May 29, 1946 in New Orleans to Gilbert and Edna Collins.

She grew up and attended school in Redondo Beach, CA. Following school she worked for Philco Ford as an assembler. She married Lewis Plaza on November 10, 1967 in Redondo Beach. They moved to Houston in 1970 and she worked for Landauer and stayed with the company until her retirement in 2012. In 2005 they moved to Tyler and she continued her work with Landauer. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Lewis L. Plaza of Flint; daughter, Roxan, and her husband, Romel Estrada of Whitehouse; sons, Randell, and his wife, Susan Plaza of Whitehouse, Rudy, and his wife, Brandy Plaza of Troup; step-son, Lewis Plaza of Lancaster, CA; sister, Wynette, and her husband, Lonnie Outland of Flint; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, February 15, 2016 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler with Deacon Robert Stevens conducting.
