Peacefully, on Monday, January 26, 2004 at the Sunnybrook Health Centre in her 81st year. Kathleen, wife of the late Thomas James Gowland. Loving mother of Michael and his wife Ellen and the late Peter Gowland. Beloved sister of Mary Demers of Grimsby. Kathleen will be missed dearly and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Friends will be received at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, 650 Sheppard Ave. East on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 10 o'clock. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
