She was born and raised in Cleveland on August 22, 1977 as the loving daughter of Harry M. Baker and Darlene (nee Smith) Baker. Kisha is the beloved wife of Alan Stevenson and devoted mother of Kierra, Kenyata, Keylen, Kalil and Keyshaun Stevenson. Dear sister of many siblings to Jermaine, Tito(preceded deceased), Sharica, DeAngelo, Shaundale, Khadijah(preceded deceased), and Mitchell and cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
We all gather together to grieve, remember, cherish and celebrate the transitioning of Lakisha and as so many called her Keke and to send our love and blessings as she is with the Lord, who called his angel home. We will always remember her bright smile and witty conversation, insightfulness and love that she has for her husband, family and loved ones. We laughed and cried and went through tough situations and still family always remained her passion and devotion. A doting and shy charismatic comedian, she leaves us with loving memories and a new appreciation for having her in our lives and each other. We should take the time to thank god for another day as life is short and time can pass us by, let’s give each other their roses while we can still smell them. Kisha always was fascinated with the idea of a new life and she’d want us to remain strong because you might see her again one day, maybe a niece or nephew or grandchild with her smile or that signature twinkle in their eyes.
She leaves us with a full family of five beautiful children and no grandchildren. One thing to remember from this time of tragedy is that she is peaceful and went forward with peace, like the dove after the flood. Kisha understood the cycle of life and that nothing lasts forever, so there’s nothing to be afraid of, as she’s with our most high and is at peace. Lakisha loves us all and would want us to celebrate her life with a smile and joy that we got the pleasure to have one another in this lifetime. As we move on we will honor her with following our dreams and supporting each other no matter what, as she was a feisty Leo who never backed down from a hard time and would be proud to see us soldier on in this place called life.
All services for Kisha will be private.
