Funeral services will be held 10am, Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park with the Minister Bryant Morrison of Reignited Worship Center, officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
Edna McCune was born in Newton, Ms. to Joe and Letha Nichols on October 7, 1934. She married Clavion McCune in Mississippi. She attended Decatur High School. She worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for over 30 years. She was a true woman of God and was a member of People Mission Baptist Church in Gulfport, Ms.
Edna McCune is preceded in death by her spouse Clavion McCune, her life companion Milton Thomas, daughters; Linda Nichols and Gloria McCune, mother and father Joe W. Nichols and Letha Moore - Nichols, brothers; Clarence W. Nichols, Charles M. Nichols, Joe W. Nichols, Billy R. Nichols, sisters; Clareth Nichols and Mary Jannette Nichols - Taylor. She was also preceded in death by grandson Steven D. Nichols and Clavion DeMarco Anthony Banks.
Edna is survived by her daughters; Judy Morgan, Lisa Parsons, Cheryl McCune, Sharon McCune, and Dana Cartwright, brother; Bobby R. Nichols, sisters; Mamie Louise Stubbs, Mildred Nichols – Cole, Martha Jean Nichols – Ruppard, Edwina Nichols- Sumrall, and Alice Diane - Dallas, a host of grand children, great grand children and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were all very dear to her.
Pallbearers will be Quincy Marshall, Corey Henderson, Amir Adams, Fred Hogan, Scott Williams and Myron Perkins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dan Nichols, Jason Parsons, Michael Cartwright and Travis Wilson.
