Donnie grew up in Beaumont and graduated from French High School, before moving to Huntsville for college. He loved to fish for white perch and spend time outdoors, especially with his golden retrievers. He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing 42, watching his Dallas Cowboys, and travelling to the casinos in Louisiana. He was an outgoing man who never met a stranger. And when you ask his family, they will tell you he was his momma's baby. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Donnie is survived by his mother Frances Crocker Reeves of Lumberton; his brother Jimmy Reeves and wife Verline of Evadale and his sister Cynthia Perkins of Lumberton; his nephew Dwayne Reeves and wife Melissa, his nephew Ryan Perkins and wife Nacona, his nephew Robert Perkins, and his niece Tonya Perkins.
Donnie was preceded in death by his father Elmo Reeves and his brother-in-law Joe Perkins.
