Beloved wife of the late William E., Jr. Loving mother of
Mary-Christy Fisher ( Harold H. Koh) , Jane J. Fisher( Pier Consagra)
and William E. III (Marian J. Morrill). Cherished grandmother of
Emily, William, Sarah, Lucy and Abigail. Devoted sister of the late
Mary O'Hagan.
Sarah, known to friends as Sally, was a lifelong resident of Syosset, NY, where she was born. She was an active member of the community – including as a supportive member of St. Edward Confessor parish and of the local schools. An artist - and art student - since her teens, she was an enthusiastic member of the Suburban Art League. Sally was an avid gardener and a longtime member of the Matinecock Garden Club.
Sally began her education at Syosset’s one-room schoolhouse known as Miss Fish’s School. She was a graduate of St. Dominic High School and The College of New Rochelle. She also attended Columbia University as part of her work as a graphic artist and draftsman for Grumman Corporation during WWII. After the war she worked for American Car and Foundry before settling into her position as a stylist at Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.
Friends and acquaintances frequently remarked on Sally’s welcoming spirit, and her innate ability to make everyone feel special.
