Megan Nichole Dunn, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020 after a two-and-a-half-year battle with Metastatic Melanoma. She was born in Marietta, GA in 1996 to Michele and Bill Dunn.
Megan was known by many for her beautiful, contagious smile. She grew up in Cobb County along with her sister Kelsey. Megan graduated from North Cobb High School in 2014. Four years later, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Evansville. Following graduation, Megan worked as a registered nurse for Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Throughout her life, she was always known as caring and maternal. To her friends and family, she was dedicated and loyal. Megan played softball, basketball, and tennis while growing up. She was a big fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats as well as the Atlanta Braves. In her spare time, Megan liked to knit, watch sports, read British literature and listen to country music. She also loved to travel and experience new places. Most of all, Megan loved spending time with her family.
A visitation for Megan Dunn will be held at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home on Friday, January 17th, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
A private service will be held for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wellstar Foundation Cancer Program fund in Megan’s honor.
