He was born on August 2, 1964 in Springfield, the son of the late Russell Pylap and Marilyn Jean (Edwards) Hill.

He helped anyone who was in need and took care of animals that were brought his way. Russell was a loving, caring, kind and thoughtful person. He ensured that those around him had all they needed, even if it meant he would go without. Russell was well liked and admired by many. His confidence and humor kept you at ease and entertained. He was a peacemaker and tried to live his life according to the Bible! He prayed for the health, happiness, and safety of his family, friends, pets, and enemies. He read his Bible daily and his favorite time of the day was morning. He’d eat his breakfast and drink his coffee while watching the birds at the feeders in his front yard. Russell was a blessing and will be greatly missed.
