We regularly hold Buddhist, Sikh, Hindu and Muslim services, in addition to Christian and non-denominational services. Our motto "Celebrate a Life" makes each service unique and personalized.

In the community

Gates, Kingsley & Gates Praiswater Mortuary is actively involved in the San Fernando Valley community. We support the Valley Performing Arts Center and belong to our local Chamber of Commerce. We also support the LAPD Topanga Division Cadets and The Guadalupe Center in Canoga Park.

An informative community outreach program is held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 1pm to provide information to our families. To join us, please call (818) 348-3354.

History

The Praiswater Family opened their funeral home in what was then Owensmouth in the west San Fernando Valley. The Gates & Kingsley Families opened their Santa Monica funeral home in 1933 and built their Canoga Park location in 1961. Throughout the years, families have trusted us to honor their loved ones with services that uniquely reflect their lives.
