About

Since 1952, Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary have served the families of the Inland Empire with the highest standards of care and compassion. Though service options have evolved through the years, our commitment to our community has never wavered.

Midcentury style for modern families

Harlow Memorial Chapel at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and MortuaryThe Harlow Memorial Chapel at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary is the largest funeral chapel in the area and seats up to 300 people. A cathedral ceiling creates an open atmosphere, and daylight streams in through expansive windows on both sides of the chapel. A rock wall at the front of the chapel and exposed wood beams give the room a distinctive natural feel common to midcentury architecture.

Personalized funeral services for all

You can expect to find Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary's team of professional funeral directors and family service counselors dedicated to your every need. Whether you are seeking a cremation, a traditional funeral or a modern celebration of life, we go the extra mile to make it happen—and we do it with a level of care and compassion that's uncommon in this world.

We embrace our community's love of equestrian activities and offer the use of horses or even a horse and carriage cortège for memorial services. If you'd rather not have actual ponies in a processional, perhaps you'd like an equestrian-themed reception after the service. Just let us know—we can design most anything, and we want everything to feel special.

Cremation services

Signature dedication at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and MortuaryNot everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice—and handle all of the cremation arrangements. If you wish, cremated remains can be placed at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park

Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park cemetery

Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park sits on 255 acres in Riverside, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Picturesque valley views create a peaceful atmosphere for a final resting place.

Our beautiful gardens

Agave plants, crepe myrtles, palm trees and rose bushes grace the cemetery property, which has 14 distinct gardens, several of which are dedicated to specific religions groups.

Two sections, Holy Cross A and Holy Cross B, are devoted to Catholic families. The Garden of Matthews is reserved for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Garden of Shalom caters to Jewish families, while the Masonic Garden serves members of the Freemasons.

The exclusive Cypress Estates is reserved for private and semiprivate family estates, a granite mausoleum and cremation burials. It also features a beautiful pond.

Cypress Estate

With a sweeping 180-degree view of the valley and a winding stream bookended by decorative ponds, the multifaceted Cypress Estate offers families a range of burial and cremation options, from landscaped flat marker and upright monument lots to stately build-to-suit mausoleums. Families who choose traditional burial can consider hedge estates, bench estates or private gated estates for four to eight. The cremation garden includes custom granite pedestals, benches, companion courts, individual courts, columbarium niches for two or four, and build-to-suit estates. There is also an ossuary in the garden. Thoughtfully designed with family heritage in mind and easy to navigate with wide sidewalks and stone paths, Cypress Estate sits at the back of the cemetery, abutting a wall, for both privacy and good feng shui.

Floral and holiday decorations

At Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, we strive to maintain a beautiful environment in which to remember your loved ones. While we allow and even encourage the placement of fresh-cut flowers at memorial sites, our regularly scheduled pickup occurs each Wednesday. In order to accommodate our families, we offer extended pickup dates and allow holiday-appropriate decorations for several holidays.

Currently, this holiday program is in place for Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Halloween/Dia de los Muertos, Thanksgiving and Christmas. During the appropriate months, you can find details about this program, including allowable dates, in our events section below. Please feel free to contact us at any time for additional information.

The burial place of George Alan Ingalls, Medal of Honor recipient

Graduate of Corona High School, star of the football and basketball teams, United States Army soldier and recipient of the Medal of Honor, George Alan Ingalls accompanied his squad on a night ambush mission while serving in the Vietnam War. When a hand grenade fell between George and another soldier, George threw himself on the grenade. In ultimate heroic and selfless action, George sacrificed his life to protect his squad.

From his official Medal of Honor citation: “His gallantry and selfless devotion to his comrades are in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon [George], his unit and the U.S. Army.”

George was laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park, and we continue to recognize his courage and selflessness year after year.

Supporting Riverside

The teams at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary are involved in many local organizations, including the United Way, Norco and Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus and the Riverside County Professional Firefighters Benevolent Fund.

Our Memorial Day service honors those who have given their lives in service to our country. Attendees are treated to a community barbecue, patriotic musical performances and a wreath laying on the grave of Medal of Honor recipient George Alan Ingalls.

During the 1st week of November, we host a popular Día de los Muertos celebration. Last year, more than 2,500 people attended the festival that celebrates Mexican culture and honors those who have passed. We hold a morning mass, followed by a day of mariachi dancers, face painting, art exhibits and food vendors. In years past, Grammy-nominated artists Mariachi Divas and Trio Ellas have played at the event.

We know that the December holidays can be a particularly emotional time for those who have lost loved ones. During our nondenominational Night of Remembrance families join us as we celebrate lives lost. They hang ornaments with the names and photos of loved ones on our tree and light candles in their honor. Religious leaders are present to provide support and encourage healing.
