Personalized funerals and memorials
At A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, we specialize in creative memorials. Imagine a video tribute with Dad's favorite music, food that reflects Mom's Italian heritage, funeral favors that remind everyone that your brother never missed a summer Sunday on the golf course, or a photo display—and a special furry guest—that conveys your aunt's mad passion for her pets. We help you down to the last detail. Even our spaces can be customized just for you.
Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the funeral home team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice—and handle all of the cremation arrangements.
We are here for you
There are endless possibilities when it comes to funeral services, memorials and even cremations. We are here to help you explore them and create a truly personalized tribute. Call us anytime, day or night.
The oldest funeral home in Dartmouth, what is now known as A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home was founded by Peter McKenna in 1897. A well-known Dartmouth undertaker named Cecil E. Zinck operated the business until 1938, when he sold it to A.L. (Ab) Mattatall, and the name was changed to reflect the new ownership.
Providing funeral and memorial services and cremations, A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home has been in the same location for more than 100 years, though it has been renovated and expanded to the beautiful, modern facility it is today.
