Cemetery and Burial Services in Miami

Unique features at Caballero Rivero Dade NorthEvery family has different wishes for a final resting place. Caballero Rivero Dade North offers a range of cemetery and burial options, and our family service counselors can explain the choices available and help you find one that reflects your family’s traditions, preferences and needs.

Traditional ground burial is available in areas throughout our 67-acre cemetery. Families may also choose above-ground entombment in one of our mausoleums. Our cemetery has grown and evolved over the decades to serve generations of South Florida families while maintaining the peaceful, park-like character that has long defined the property.

One of the most meaningful features of the grounds is a Pietà near the west entrance. Visitors regularly stop there to pray, reflect and leave flowers at the statue. These quiet acts of remembrance have made the Pietà a special place within the cemetery and part of the experience of visiting loved ones here.

We also coordinate with funeral homes throughout Miami, including independent providers and those outside the Dignity Memorial® network. This allows families to select the funeral provider that is right for them while relying on our cemetery team to help coordinate the burial or committal arrangements at Caballero Rivero Dade North.

Mausoleum at Caballero Rivero Dade NorthFamilies interested in above-ground burial can explore mausoleum entombment options with our team. The cemetery includes numerous mausoleum structures across the property, creating choices for families who prefer this form of permanent memorialization.

Whether arrangements are needed now or being considered as part of cemetery pre-planning, we provide clear information so families can make informed decisions without feeling rushed.

Graveside and Committal Services in Miami

Families may hold meaningful graveside and committal services at the cemetery. The Dade Memorial Gazebo provides another gathering place for services and remembrance. Chairs can be arranged for family and friends, with space for clergy or other participants before the procession continues to the place of interment.

The gazebo is also used for remembrance gatherings and anniversary services. Several times each year, families come together there for candlelight remembrance events, transforming the space into a shared place for reflection, connection and honoring those who are deeply missed.

Cremation Memorialization in Miami

Mausoleum at Caballero Rivero Dade NorthFamilies who choose cremation have many ways to create a permanent place of remembrance at Caballero Rivero Dade North. Although we are a standalone cemetery and do not operate an on-site crematory, we offer several cremation memorialization options for families who would like their loved one’s cremated remains to have a lasting place within the cemetery.

Options include cremation gardens, mausoleum niches and private cremation estates. Depending on availability and family preferences, our team can explain those choices and help families consider the type of memorial that feels more meaningful to them.

Permanent memorialization can also give children, grandchildren, relatives and friends a dedicated place to visit in the years ahead. For families with generations already buried at Caballero Rivero Dade North, choosing a cremation memorial here can help preserve that connection and keep loved ones together in a place that is already part of their family history.

A Cemetery for Miami’s Diverse Communities

Miami is home to families with traditions from around the world, and those traditions deserve to be understood and respected. Our team works with families of many cultures and faiths, with associates available who speak English, Spanish, Creole and French.

The cemetery includes an area specifically designated for members of the Muslim Association of South Florida. We also have the Garden of the Cross, which is meaningful to many Catholic and Christian families, while Caballero Rivero Dade North as a whole welcomes families of all faiths.

Our role is not to tell a family how a remembrance should look. We listen, learn what matters to them and work with families and their funeral home or clergy to help accommodate religious and cultural customs whenever possible.

Cemetery Pre-Planning in Miami

Family and funeral director reminiscing through loved ones photos and memorabiliaMaking cemetery arrangements in advance can give families time to consider their choices thoughtfully and communicate their wishes before those decisions are needed. At Caballero Rivero Dade North, families can pre-plan cemetery property and memorialization options, including traditional burial and cremation memorialization.

Our family service counselors can explain available pre-planning arrangements, including trust- and insurance-funded options when applicable. Families can also learn about qualifying transferable arrangements within the Dignity Memorial® network. For someone who later moves away from South Florida, that flexibility may provide additional options for receiving services through another participating location.

Flexible Ways to Plan

We understand that every family’s circumstances are different. You are welcome to schedule an appointment or walk in to speak with our team. When coming to the cemetery is difficult or inconvenient, our counselors can also work with families through virtual meetings, email and, when appropriate, home visits.

We strive to make visits to the cemetery accessible as well. Wheelchairs are available, and our maintenance team can provide temporary pathways across grassy areas when needed to help guests using mobility devices reach a burial or service location.

Community Involvement

Caballero Rivero Dade North has been part of the Miami community for more than 75 years, and our relationships extend beyond the cemetery gates. Our team participates in events with nearby St. James Catholic Church and maintains an active relationship with the North Miami Senior Community Center, where team members visit with seniors, share helpful information and participate in activities such as breakfasts and flower presentations.

The cemetery is also a gathering place for remembrance. We hold candlelight services three times a year, giving families an opportunity to return, reflect and remember together.

These relationships are part of what it means to be a longtime Miami cemetery. Many of the families we meet today have connections to people who were laid to rest here decades ago, and we consider it a privilege to continue caring for those families from one generation to the next.

Veterans and Military Families

Veterans Burial Benefits 1We are honored to care for veterans and their families. A veterans’ wall near the cemetery entrance provides a visible place of recognition, and each Memorial Day, flags are displayed around the veterans’ area, cemetery entrance and eligible gravesites in remembrance of those who served.

For military burial services, we coordinate with the family’s funeral home, which typically arranges the honor guard and other eligible military funeral honors. Our cemetery team works alongside them to help ensure the committal and burial arrangements come together respectfully.
