As the only funeral home in Langley, British Columbia, since 1955, Henderson’s Langley Funeral Home was established by the Henderson Family, a name synonymous with funeral service in the Fraser Valley.

As you enter the funeral home foyer, you immediately feel the warm welcome of our team. All of the services we provide in both cremation and burial are designed to help families customize their individual needs. Our experienced associates work one-on-one to personalize the planning process for both funeral and cremation, designed specifically for you and your loved ones.

Reception room at Henderson's Langley Funeral HomeThe chapel provides comfortable surroundings and seating for up to 200 guests. Our reception lounge adjacent to the chapel is a wonderful area where family and friends can continue to share memories over refreshments after the service. For smaller services up to 30 people, families may choose to host a memorial reception. We are able to create an extensive personalized DVD and memorial website to be shared for generations to come. Henderson's Langley Funeral Home believes each family is unique and special in their needs and we are committed to providing service beyond expectations.

Though we will work with any cemetery of your choosing, we often work with Victory Memorial Park in Surrey, which is a beautiful final resting place.

History

Henderson’s Langley Funeral Home was first established in Chilliwack, British Columbia, in 1890 by J.C. Henderson. In 1919, R.J. Henderson (no relation) purchased Henderson’s Funeral Home. During tough economic times, funeral services were paid in exchange for produce, livestock, wood and labor. A horse-drawn hearse was first used until 1924 when a Model T Ford hearse was purchased.

More locations

In 1935, R.J.’s eldest son, Harvey, opened a Henderson’s Funeral Home location in Abbotsford. Henderson’s opened another location in Mission in 1945, which was later sold in 1952. Henderson’s Langley Funeral Home was established in 1955. We have resided in the same location since then and are proud to be the only funeral home in the City of Langley.
