History

The first tract of land for Rosedale Cemetery was purchased by John L. Lightner on November 26, 1928. The cemetery was incorporated that same year as Rosedale Cemetery Co. According to records, the first burial took place on April 24, 1929.

The funeral home was built in the 1970s, effectively establishing Rosedale Funeral Home and Rosedale Cemetery in the Eastern Panhandle.

Today, we're proud members of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
