    Andrew Alexander

    Funeral Director

    Andrew is a 1988 graduate of North High School, a 1992 graduate of DePauw University and a 1993 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He has served in the funeral industry for over 24 years and enjoys helping people in our community by making funeral planning easier and creating a special tribute to the lives of their loved ones. He and his wife, Kristie (Mossberger) Alexander, have 2 sons, Drew and Nate, and a daughter, Catherine “Cat.” Andrew grew up in Evansville, lived in Newburgh for 10 years after graduating college, and now lives on the north side of Evansville. He enjoys spending time with his children and supporting their endeavors. He also enjoys playing a variety of sports and being outdoors. Andrew is a longtime member of the Rotary Club of Evansville and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In his free time, he volunteers for Habitat of Humanity of Evansville. He believes, “Life is a flash of lightning in the dark of night. It is a brief time of tremendous potential.”

    Jonathan K Alexander

    Funeral Director

    Jon graduated from North High School in 1994. In 1996, he graduated from Southern Illinois-Carbondale with a degree in Mortuary Science. He went on to study at the University of Evansville, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree. Jon has been a funeral director since 2004, working while attending college. Jon has a wife, Kara, and 2 children, Isaac and Ava. He grew up on the north side of Evansville and still lives there today. When Jon is not working, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending his children’s activities and going on family vacations.

    Matthew T Alexander

    Funeral Director

    Matt is the fifth generation of the Alexander family to work in funeral service. He became a licensed funeral director in Indiana in 1994 and is a past district director of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association. Matt enjoys educating the community about the funeral profession and resources available within the Dignity Memorial network.

    A native son of Evansville, Matt graduated from Evansville Day School in 1987 and Indiana University in 1991. He is a member of the Evansville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Cathedral and Hadi Shrine Temple. He and his wife live near the University of Evansville. They have four children.

    Tom A Alexander

    Funeral Director

    Thomas is a graduate of F. J. Reitz High School and received his Bachelor of Science in 1967 from University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He received his degree in Mortuary Science in 1969 from Indiana College of Mortuary Science and his Indiana funeral director’s license in 1970. Tom immediately joined his father, Kenneth G. Alexander, and grandfather, Alvah D. Alexander, who were both still very active in the business, as the 4th generation to enter the funeral profession. The Alexander firm grew to 4 funeral homes: West Chapel, East Chapel, North Chapel and Newburgh Chapel. In 1987, the Alexanders purchased Memorial Park Cemetery and built Evansville’s 1st crematory in 1988. Today, Tom’s 3 sons--Matthew, Andrew, and Jon--are 5th-generation funeral directors. Tom’s wife, Sherry, daughter, Carrie Hatchett, and son-in-law, David Hatchett, are also integral members the firm. In 1998, we joined the Dignity Memorial® network of leading funeral homes and cemeteries in the country, adding services and benefits for the southern Indiana families we serve. Tom’s personal memberships include: Past District 10 President of Indiana Funeral Directors’ Association, Member of the Evansville Country Club and United Methodist Temple. He is also a member of Evansville Masonic Lodge No. 64, Evansville Scottish Rite, York Rite, Hadi Shrine Temple, Evansville Court 102 and Royal Order of Jesters. He was past director of Evansville Chamber of Commerce and past member of Evansville Day School’s board of directors. Tom was also President and CEO of Alexander Ambulance Service from 1970-1995. He served on the Advanced Life Support Operations for the Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission. He also served as a qualified Disaster Coordinator for the Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA/NFDA. In 2005, Tom served on 2 deployments to St. Gabriel, Louisiana, in response to hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In addition, he is a charter member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, served in the U.S. Army and is a past member of Scott Township Volunteer Fire Department.

    Jeffrey W Alvey

    Funeral Director

    Jeffrey is a 1993 graduate of North Posey High School and a 1995 graduate of University of Southern Indiana. He attended Mid-America College of Funeral Service in 1996. Jeff has been a funeral director since 1999 and enjoys working with families, helping them anyway he can.

    A native of Evansville, Jeff is the oldest of 7 kids. He enjoys working alongside his younger sister, Jennifer (Alvey) Hoehn, at Alexander Funeral Home. He has 2 children, coaches baseball at St. Wendel and enjoys doing anything outdoors. Jeff is also a member of the West Side Nut Club and St. Wendel Athletic Club.

    David Hatchett

    General Manager

    David Hatchett graduated from Castle High School in 1986 and went on to receive an associate degree in marketing from Indiana University in 1990. Upon graduating, David went into the funeral service industry, and in 1992, earned his mortuary science degree from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. He became a licensed funeral director in 1994.

    David is married and has two sons.

    Michael E Wittenbraker


    Michael is a 1981 graduate of Castle High School and a 1983 Mortuary Science graduate of Vincennes University. He has been a funeral director for over 33 years, 20 of which have been spent at Alexander Funeral Homes. Mike enjoys meeting new people and considers it a privilege to help them in their time of need. He has been married to his wife, Lorraine, for over 32 years. They have 2 married sons, Brent and Bryan, and 3 grandchildren, Crew, Max and Ryker. Mike is a lifelong resident of Newburgh. He enjoys being with family, spending time outside and home maintenance. He teaches firefighting classes for surrounding fire departments, as well as for the state of Indiana. Mike is a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Newburgh, the Newburgh Volunteer Fire Department for over 33 years and several local committees for the betterment of the Newburgh Area. He was past president of the Warrick County Fire Chiefs Association and the Newburgh Volunteer Firefighter’s Association.

    Robin Holder

    Funeral Director

    Robin is a graduate of F.J. Reitz High School and a 1959 graduate of the Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He worked full-time for Alexander Funeral Home for 41 years before retiring to a part-time position, which he has held for over 15 years. Robin enjoys serving families before, during and after the loss of a loved one. Robin is married to his wife, Linda, and has been a part of the Evansville community since 1961. He is a member of the Masonic Orders and enjoys farming during his time off.

    Jennifer Dawn Kueber

    Funeral Director

    Jennifer is a 2001 graduate of Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Mortuary Science at Vincennes University. From 2007-2009, she attended the University of Southern Indiana. Jennifer considers it an honor to serve the families who walk through the door and help them create a memorable tribute for their loved one. She was born and raised in Evansville, and has lived in Mt. Vernon since 2007. When not working, Jennifer loves to spend time with her husband, Ben, read and spoil her nieces and nephews. She and her husband enjoy spending their summers boating. Jennifer’s family and friends are truly the center of her life. Her favorite quote is: “Never get tired of doing little things for others. Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest parts of their hearts.”

    James Palmer

    Funeral Director

    Jim is a 1959 graduate of Washington High School and a 1962 graduate of the College of Mortuary Science in Indianapolis. He also attended Oakland City College in Indiana. Jim has been a funeral director for over 53 years, and 32 of those have been spent at Alexander Funeral Homes. He is married to his wife, Carol, who retired from teaching nursing at Henderson Community College in Henderson, Kentucky. James has been a member of the Evansville community for over 53 years, and in his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball.
