A spacious funeral home with modern amenities

Chapel at Loflin Funeral HomeLocated on West Swannanoa Avenue, Loflin Funeral Home is a welcoming place to plan a service. The chapel has flexible seating, and there's plenty of room for a catered reception or intimate gathering. Need a tribute video? A custom playlist? A piano player? We take care of it all.

At Loflin Funeral Home, we appreciate that every life is unique and every family different. That’s why we take the time to ask questions and learn about your loved one. How did she live her life? What was his greatest passion? What made them laugh?

For us, it's about more than planning a fitting tribute. It's about celebrating the little details. We can find inspiration almost anywhere. Simply start with a story. We’ll take it from there.

Personalized funerals and memorials

If you've never planned a funeral or cremation, or it's been some time since you have, you may be surprised at the many decisions involved. Whatever your wishes, our professional funeral home team will offer suggestions and assist you with planning a celebration. Whatever your budget, we can help you plan a tribute that is meaningful and affordable.

From a simple cremation with a scattering to a full traditional funeral service with a cemetery burial and a coffee-and-cake reception, we handle every aspect of a service—and we have lots of ideas.

Cremation in Liberty

Signature Dedication at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home & ParkThere are many options for cremation in the Piedmont Triad area—and they're not all equal. We specialize in cremation services that honor loved ones in personalized ways, and families love our all-inclusive pricing. With expertise in scattering ashes and a friendly team who pays attention to every detail, we provide service that is second to none.

More and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, but most aren’t familiar with the many options:

  • a cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind.
  • a funeral with your loved one present, followed by cremation.
  • a cremation followed by a scattering, cemetery memorialization or celebration of life—or all three.

For those who wish for something more momentous, Neptune Memorial Reef is an underwater cremation garden off the coast of Florida. A Celestis Memorial Spaceflight takes ashes into space for a little while or forever.

Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty, formerly Curtis Funeral Home, was established in 1945 by brothers J. Carl Loflin and Homer L. Loflin. In the summer of 1953, the brothers purchased the former Dr. R.D. Patterson residence, renovating and expanding the building into a modern funeral home.

In 1977, Carl's son Jim purchased the business. Jim owned and managed the funeral home until 1991. In 2007, Loflin Funeral Home joined the Dignity Memorial network.
