A spacious and gracious funeral home

Located on the corner of Westmount Road and Ottawa Street in Kitchener, our modern funeral home has a canopied front entrance and a dazzling foyer with a skylight surrounded by mirrors, a sparkling chandelier and an oak staircase. Accented with chandeliers and stained glass windows, the chapel seats more than 600. A large multipurpose room and modern kitchen allows families to host catered receptions.

History

In 1985, James Hahn opened Westmount Funeral Chapel on the corner of Ottawa Street and Westmount Road in Kitchener. In 2014, a renovation and expansion of Westmount Funeral Chapel was completed, and Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home & Chapel merged with Westmount. That's when the name was changed to Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre. Our sister chapel, Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, merged with Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre in 2015.

James began with a commitment to a high standard of service, and throughout our history we have provided thoughtful leadership and innovation while maintaining that same high standard. Everyone at our funeral home is proud to uphold that heritage, along with our commitment to the community.
