As a Level Four Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, we are honored to serve our nation’s heroes and take this responsibility seriously. We have taken steps to ensure our staff is knowledgeable of all the benefits available to military veterans and their families.

In addition, we host community events annually in honor of our veterans and work closely with local veterans organizations. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran’s memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

Customized services

Catering presentation at Skyline Memorial GardensSkyline Memorial Gardens Funeral Home features a one-of-a-kind view of the Oregon Coast mountain range. We can accommodate up to 125 guests with traditional chapel seating. You can customize your experience in this gathering space with round dining tables and linens if you so choose. We can also work with you to create a fully customized Life Well Celebrated® event for your guests.

For more intimate gatherings, our Skyline reception room accommodates 64 guests and our Forest Park room accommodates 35 guests. For your convenience, we offer distinctive customized themes for a truly memorable gathering of friends and family.

Situated on approximately 55 acres near Portland world-renowned forest park, skyline memorial gardens has an expansive view of the Tualatin Valley and the mountains of the Oregon coast range.

At Skyline Memorial Gardens, we offer a wide variety of cremation memorialization, such as glass niches for personalized urn placement, memorial benches, columbaria and ground burial in our apostles urn garden, garden of reflection and the garden of remembrance. the cemetery has 14 traditional gardens, 3 distinctive cremation areas, exclusive private estates, mausoleums and lawn crypts.

History

Garden at Skyline Memorial Gardens Funeral HomeOriginally known as northwest memorial gardens, skyline memorial gardens was established in 1952 by Fred Collins after he purchased the site from Corrine barber. Mr. Collins retained the services of max fuller, a Kansas City landscape designer who designed many of the mid-century memorial parks in the united states.

As the gardens were designed, Mr. Collins commissioned carrara marble statues to be carved by Guido Orlando, an artist from Milan, Italy. taking pride in these pristine gardens and statues, Mr. Collins personally helped install the Italian marble sculptures that are featured throughout the cemetery.

By 1962, the dream of Mr. Collins to build a funeral home, crematory, flower shop and cemetery became a reality. he owned and operated skyline memorial gardens funeral home and skyline memorial gardens until his death in 1975.

Situated on approximately 55 acres near Portland’s world-renowned Forest Park, Skyline Memorial Gardens has an expansive view of the Tualatin Valley and the mountains of the Oregon Coast Range.

Our pristine gardens feature multiple interment options for your remembrance, from traditional burial plots with upright or flat markers to private estates. We have both indoor and outdoor mausoleum options.
