About

At Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel, we have provided funeral and cremation services to the Saskatoon community since 1911. Our professional and experienced team excels at creating unique and memorable memorials that celebrate a person's passions and individuality.

Our funeral home

Lobby at Acadia McKague's Funeral CentreAt Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel, 4 white pillars accent a handsome brick facade. The wheelchair-accessible facility has an elevator for those who need it and easily accommodates services of all sizes, from intimate family memorials to large public celebrations.

The interior of the facility was designed with comfort in mind. When you enter the funeral home, you'll find a spacious foyer with a warm and inviting fireplace. Our large chapel has traditional pew seating and holds more than 250 guests. If there's overflow, flat-screen televisions in various rooms throughout the funeral home allow guests at large services to see and hear chapel activities. The comfortable reception area is ideal for gathering before, during or after funeral services, and a full kitchen handles your catering needs. Parking is no worry.

Personalized funeral services

We believe that every funeral service should be as unique as the person being honoured. Whether you are seeking a basic cremation with cremated remains scattered in a personally meaningful place, a full traditional funeral service with a graveside service or an imaginative celebration of life with live music, favourite foods and a send-off that speaks to the personality and passions of yourself or your loved one, we go the extra mile to make it happen.

From bagpipes to cupcakes, puppies to putters, we take the things that mattered most to someone and string them together to create a singular, heartfelt memorial.

Continued care

What's more, our compassionate care doesn't end when the funeral does. Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel offers a Compassion Helpline ® to client families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network. We provide the warm, familiar attention you expect from a locally operated funeral home as well as the value you deserve from North America's largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.

Please call us if you need immediate help planning a funeral or would like information about planning ahead. We are here for you.

"I haven't thought much about death (I think most people don't), and it was so beautiful to come to a place where it is treated as another fact of life but something worthy of ritual and of taking a pause. I hadn't imagined that the people who guide us through the experience are another form of caregivers, but they absolutely are - they care for us

and our lost loved ones at one of the hardest times in our lives. I have so much gratitude for the care and guidance that I received from Mourning Glory."

"Right from our initial meeting with Amanda she made us feel like the most important people in the world. She is a truly an amazing person and her attention to detail is unbelievable. She listened so well and was able to incorporate so many unique and heartfelt details into our entire experience. Amanda has a quality about her that makes everyone f

eel comfortable and at ease. She provided us with excellent advice and support whenever we needed and was always available. She single handedly made the passing of our Dad and the celebration of life of our parents a memorable experience. Thank you to her and the entire staff at Acadia McKagues for the incredible support and service."

"Mandi was our funeral director. She exhibited the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion. Greg McKee officiated the funeral service and did a wonderful job. In particular, we enjoyed the Reflection he created based on our one hour conversation together."
