About

At Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel, we have provided funeral and cremation services to the Saskatoon community since 1911. Our professional and experienced team excels at creating unique and memorable memorials that celebrate a person's passions and individuality.

Our funeral home

Lobby at Acadia McKague's Funeral CentreAt Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel, 4 white pillars accent a handsome brick facade. The wheelchair-accessible facility has an elevator for those who need it and easily accommodates services of all sizes, from intimate family memorials to large public celebrations.

The interior of the facility was designed with comfort in mind. When you enter the funeral home, you'll find a spacious foyer with a warm and inviting fireplace. Our large chapel has traditional pew seating and holds more than 250 guests. If there's overflow, flat-screen televisions in various rooms throughout the funeral home allow guests at large services to see and hear chapel activities. The comfortable reception area is ideal for gathering before, during or after funeral services, and a full kitchen handles your catering needs. Parking is no worry.

Personalized funeral services

We believe that every funeral service should be as unique as the person being honoured. Whether you are seeking a basic cremation with cremated remains scattered in a personally meaningful place, a full traditional funeral service with a graveside service or an imaginative celebration of life with live music, favourite foods and a send-off that speaks to the personality and passions of yourself or your loved one, we go the extra mile to make it happen.

From bagpipes to cupcakes, puppies to putters, we take the things that mattered most to someone and string them together to create a singular, heartfelt memorial.

Continued care

What's more, our compassionate care doesn't end when the funeral does. Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel offers a Compassion Helpline ® to client families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Mourning Glory – Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network. We provide the warm, familiar attention you expect from a locally operated funeral home as well as the value you deserve from North America's largest network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.

Please call us if you need immediate help planning a funeral or would like information about planning ahead. We are here for you.

Ratings & Reviews

Verified Customer Reviews

Since 2005, many of our customers have taken the time to tell us how we did each year via our Voice of the Customer program. Our star ratings and comments from families come directly from these surveys.

"The service my wife and I contracted with your facility was an usual one. We had our newborn baby baptized at the chapel, and rented the hall with a hostess and catering to celebrate the beginning of her life, and not its end. My wife and I want to say that your staff were so beautifully, outstandingly wonderful! I cannot begin to convey with mere words how special the day was for all of us. I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

"Making funeral plans across three provinces during a pandemic was made to be very straight forward with the help of Amanda, the funeral director, at Morning Glory Acadia McKagues Funeral Chapel. I was given all the tips and information I needed long before I even got to Saskatoon. Her thorough and prompt communications helped loads during a rather difficult time navigating the speedy task of organizing a funeral. I really appreciated her attention to detail, and the support I received."
