History

Paul U. Lee Funeral Home opened in Baytown in 1923.

Jess and Clara Navarre moved to Baytown from Dayton in 1967 with their three children, Mike, Chris and Judy. In their new hometown, they established Baytown Ambulance Service, which they ran until 1994.

Front Exterior at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation ServicesThe family acquired Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in 1984. Jess and Clara had worked in the funeral business in Dayton, and when they purchased the Baytown funeral home, they changed the business name to reflect their own.

In 2018, Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services became part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
