About

When we at Kingwood Funeral Home say that you are our priority, we mean it. Our commitment is not only to treat your family like our own, but to also treat your family like you are the only family who needs us. This approach allows us to give you and your family our undivided attention and provide an unmatched level of service.

We are your friends and neighbors—the people you see at the grocery store and the bank—and we care about you.

Our Kingwood Funeral Home

Located in northeast Houston, at the entrance to the Kingwood community, nestled in the pines on a large wooded lot, our funeral home has served The Livable Forest—including Kingwood, Porter, New Caney, Humble and Atascocita—since 1995. Before you even walk into the funeral home, you feel welcome here. The building location is private, parking is plentiful and the landscape is meticulously manicured.

Our Colonial ranch style house mimics the homes of the Kingwood area outside and in. The light and airy space looks and feels like an upscale hotel or your fashionable friend’s personal space, with plush seating, stylish rugs and antique furnishings.

The funeral home includes a large all-faith chapel with a beautiful stained-glass window. The chapel seats 225 in traditional wooden pews and has a state-of-the-art sound system, plus a baby grand piano. If you’d like to use the piano for a funeral or memorial, Kingwood Funeral Home provides a pianist at no charge.

Caring team, celebrations of life

Our team takes the word “care” very seriously. Leading with our hearts, we are here to help you, from writing an obituary to choosing flowers and music and arranging transportation and more. No request is too small or too large for our exceptional team who always has your comfort top of mind.

We also believe that a funeral or memorial should deeply reflect the life of the person being honored, and we do everything we can to create meaningful, personalized tributes. Want a cremation followed by a dove release? You got it. A funeral in our chapel and then great Houston barbecue? You can have that, too. Monogrammed seed packets or hand-inscribed books as mementos? Yes. The list is truly endless. We take the time to visit with you and your family to plan a celebration like no other.

When you choose to have a funeral or memorial at Kingwood, you will never have to share the space. Your friends and family will be the only group on the property during your service, with the ability to privately use our chapel, stateroom and reception area. This sets us apart from many other funeral homes and ensures you have the room you need to honor a loved one and begin the healing process.

Here for you

Kingwood Funeral Home is a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, burial, cremation and cemetery providers, and we are committed to this community and the people who live here. Please call us anytime to plan a funeral or tour our facility.

History

In 1995, Kingwood Funeral Home opened in Houston's growing master-planned Kingwood community. As the area turned the promise of "The Livable Forest" into a lifestyle, we began to meet the needs for quality, compassionate funeral care of families in not only Kingwood, but also Porter, New Caney, Humble and Atascocita.

Today, we are a vital part of the Kingwood area, having served thousands of families and earning accolades for our exceptional service.

Since our inception, Kingwood Funeral Home has been part of the Dignity Memorial® network, the largest group of funeral, burial, cremation and cemetery providers in North America.

Grief support

We recognize that grief is a process. It is our pledge to support you long after a funeral or memorial is over. We offer ongoing grief support, a grief management library and more. In fact, each quarter during the year following your loss, we send your family materials addressing the stages of grief designed to inform and comfort. Many families find this service invaluable. Please contact us for additional information regarding this benefit.

Annual candlelight remembrance

Each December, Kingwood Funeral Home hosts a Remembrance Service, which is open to everyone in our community. The time spent together honors all those we have lost—mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends and even pets. We ask attendees to provide photos of their cherished loved ones to be included in a video tribute. Prior to the service, there is a social gathering and refreshments. Then, as a special gift from us to you, a commemorative crystal ornament is given to take home.
