Mark D. Polhemus, known by his family and friends as Doug, has been a licensed funeral director for many decades. Born and raised in Toms River, he and his wife, Debra, and their children, Matthew and Amanda, have lived in the Toms River area all their lives. Doug was a graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute in New York City, where he graduated cum laude. Doug’s interests include family, woodworking and yardwork. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church of Toms River, where he has served the church as an elder and president of the board of trustees. He has been member of the Toms River Evening Rotary Club for more than 2 decades and he served as president. He is a past member of the Pine Beach Planning Board, a board member of the Toms River Schools Hall of Fame, and a Toms River Student Loan Fund Board Member. “I have always considered my choice in profession as a calling. I truly love assisting the families I serve at the most difficult times of their lives and making it a little more bearable,” says Doug.

Wallace Polhemus, known to his family and friends as Tim, has been a licensed funeral director for over 40 years. Born and raised in Toms River, New Jersey, he and his wife, Laurel, their daughter, Heather, and their son, TJ, and his wife, Megan, have lived in the Toms River area all their lives. A graduate of American Academy McAllister Institute in New York City, Tim is a compassionate and dedicated funeral director. He is the one of the first people his friends and acquaintances call when they need help and is an integral part of the Toms River community. Tim is proud of his family’s heritage in funeral service. Tim enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loves vacationing in Florida. He is a member and past president of the Toms River Evening Rotary Club and a life member of Toms River Fire Company No. 1.
Mary Schwartz graduated from Mercer County College Mortuary School and has been a funeral director for more than 3 decades. She joined the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home family in 1989. Mary has provided peace and comfort to many families in the Toms River community and is specialized in Advanced Planning. She is a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting and has volunteered for Deborah Hospital Foundation and other community groups. Mary and her husband, Jim, live in Whiting and are the parents of 3 grown children and have a wonderful grandson, Lucas. She is very dedicated to the families she serves and strives with compassion to make a difference.
