  • Jordan Clare Hockey


    Jordan earned his funeral director and embalmer's license from Humber College in Toronto in 1990. He began his career with First Memorial in 2004.

    Active in the Victoria community, Jordan has volunteered for the Victoria Symphony Orchestra at special events and is a Victoria Music Corner Society associate member. Jordan performs regularly with many Scottish bagpipe bands. Currently, he competes in Grade III with the Vancouver Island Caledonia Pipe Band, which holds its weekly rehearsals at the funeral home.

    Jordan participates in events as a member of the Japanese Canadian Community Organization of Victoria on the weekends. He also spends time as an advocate for the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia. He is former vice chair for the arts, culture and special events advisory committee to the Esquimalt Municipal Council.  He relishes time with his wife and two children.

    Funeral Director

    Catherine joined First Memorial Funeral Services in 2003 as an administrator but felt the need to do more. She graduated from Canadian College of Funeral Service in 2015. She has a strong passion for serving families to the best of her abilities. Her goal is to make someone smile on the worst day of their life. Cathy's hobbies are cycling, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

    Funeral Director

    Born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Laura-Lee graduated from Kingstec College with a degree in funeral services in 1999. She completed her apprenticeship with J.S. Snow Funeral Home and served there for 12 years before moving to Victoria with her husband in 2012. Laura-Lee is a certified funeral celebrant specializing in personalized memorials. Laura-Lee was recently named "Grammie" upon the arrival of her 1st grandson.
