History

Lobby at Keith & Keith Funeral Home Keith & Keith Funeral Home traces its roots to September 1939, when Donald C. Keith purchased Hamm Funeral Home and renamed it to reflect its new ownership.

The Keith name

As postwar prosperity reached Washington, his son, Royal Keith, joined the family business in 1958. Virgil Umbarger took part ownership in 1971, but the well-respected Keith & Keith name remained: families from Parker to Pomona had come to rely on the Keith name for Yakima-area burial services.

Serving you

In 1990, Keith & Keith joined the Dignity Memorial network of funeral service providers, giving Central Washington families access to an even higher level of quality and choice.

The founding philosophy Keith & Keith, developed by Don Keith, is an extension of the Golden Rule: We strive to serve each and every one of our families the way that we would wish to be served in our time of sorrow. Our growing portfolio of funeral and memorial options demonstrates our clients' appreciation of our personal touch.
