"Kelsey, Torva and colleen at the Lawrence location in Scarborough were exceptionally gifted in making the most difficult times a bit easier. Not just once but twice. Six months apart when our beloved mother and father left our lives. Giffen Mac staff were so kind and patient and gave the best advice when asked. They were very informative with questions we didn't think to ask or couldn't find the words and things we didn't understand.They helped us every step of the way. I'm so grateful for all the staff at this location but especially those who I've mentioned. You are all amazing at what you do and thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

"There are no words to describe the tremendous service we received from Giffen-Mack and especially our main contact, Jason....but I will try. The patience, understanding, compassion and kindness shown me and my family was nothing short of remarkable. Whenever I approached Jason with a question the response was always the same, 'that has already been taken care of'. There were so many 'little things' done as well, which in the big scheme of things were not so little, but rather very much appreciated. Such as Jason driving us to a luncheon spot after our initial meeting, followed by many other offers of transporting us to and from other destinations. Stefan (my apologies if the spelling is incorrect) actually was willing to wait for us while we had a family luncheon after the cemetery service in order to drive us back to our hotel. I would also like to add there was another element to my mother`s funeral arrangements that involved transporting my mother from Nova Scotia, where she died, to Scarborough. I made one initial call to the home in NS and after that, Jason took care of all remaining issues as they pertained to the NS funeral home. The service and attention we received from Jason is rare these days so it`s a wonderful feeling to know it still exists in our society today. Most importantly my mother was treated with the utmost respect and dignity she deserved and we can`t thank you enough for that. My mother would have been so pleased with how well you cared for her and her loved ones. I cannot say enough good things about Jason and his staff and everyone associated with them should be very proud of how well they represent your company and work on your behalf. To Jason and staff, an extremely heartfelt thank you for making a very difficult time in our lives so much easier and bearable. We wish you nothing but the best. "From my initial call to make funerary arrangements to my last visit to submit final documentation for my deceased husband to Service Canada, the service has been excellent. We had exceeded our time for visitation, however, we were treated with respect and not rushed to leave the premises. Also, we were accomodated for our religious beliefs for the services. The final touch was when the funeral procession drove around our neighbourhood even though there was road construction along the route before proceeding to the crematorium."

"My father had carefully ensured that everything was prepaid and pre-arranged so that I would have the least amount of difficulty on his passing. I've had experience with other pre-arranged funerals at other funeral homes where there was significant pressure to order more, or upsell the family on better, more, or more expensive products. I found that at Giffen-Mack there was absolutely no pressure - my father's wishes were followed to the letter and not once did I feel that I was being coerced into spending money he didn't want me to spend. Any request we made was accepted and accommodated above and beyond my expectations. At this, the most vulnerable time of my life, I appreciated being supported and helped by Giffen-Mack."
