Aimé (Philip, Thomson) Handy passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at 100 years of age. Aimé was born April 12, 1925, in Vancouver. At age 19, Aimé married Al Thomson and had two daughters, Heather and Carron. Following Al’s death in 1965, Aimé worked as a medical receptionist for 20 years. She married Ted Handy in 1986. Ted passed away in 2009. In 2017, Aimé moved into Menno Place, Terrace East, where she experienced assisted living, later receiving full care in Menno Home 2 West. Aimé had a grateful spirit, strong faith in her Creator, and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves behind two daughters, Heather Germaine (Ron) and Carron Carson (Bob); two stepsons, Dave Handy (Ruth) and Don Handy (Trudy); 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of the life of Aimé Handy will be held at Menno Place Chapel, 2:00pm, February 13th, 2026.
