Allan is survived by his ever loving wife Kim, daughter Mackenzie, step children Josh and Ethan, parents Jake and Christine, brother Iain, and sister Karen as well as extended family and friends. Allan was predeceased by his mother Nancy.
Allan was born in Dumbarton, Scotland to parents Jake and Nancy Young. He played just about every sport in school, and was even good at a few, including football, volleyball and golf. Allan was born a Rangers fan and he remained a Rangers fan for the rest of his life. Allan was “Blue” through and through.
Allan proudly served in the Royal Navy and after four years he and the Royal Navy amicably parted ways. Allan moved to Canada and began a career with the Toronto Police Service. After learning that there were actually habitable cities in Canada, he moved to Abbotsford where he began a stellar career with the Abbotsford Police Department. Allan served in Patrol and spent a large portion of his career in the Drug Enforcement Unit. Legend has it that Allan’s nose could smell a marijuana grow op better than a blood hound tracking a fugitive.
Allan had a personality that would leave everyone he met feeling happier. To know Allan was to love Allan. He will be forever missed, forever loved and forever remembered.
