Ann Elizabeth Sevigny

Born in Port Alberni on January 28th, 1949, a tomboy who loved learning for all her life. She was an introvert who liked living a simple life whether she was in Port Alberni or her final years spent in Abbotsford, BC. She loved the art of practicality and was an avid baker, cook and gardener. She could make any outfit she desired by sewing, crocheting, or knitting it and many people got to enjoy the byproducts of her creativity. Devoted mom to her kids, hours spent with them camping, fishing, and watching and coaching baseball.

Never without a book, crossword, sudoku or a puzzle, she had such a thirst for information that she enrolled in Malaspina College in her 50’s to get a BA in women’s and liberal studies. Ann was a beloved grandma and great grandma who loved playing games and going to movies with them until her Alzheimer’s made that impossible. Her sense of humor and lovable banter will be missed.

She is predeceased by her parents Pete and Ethel, brother Peter, sister Rose and by Son-in-law Roy who passed in April.

She is survived by daughter Cheryl, and son Kevin (Kim) Noble. Grandchildren Alyssa (Michael)Verstegen, Ethan (Melissa)Groothof, Alexandra Groothof(Matthew Lawhon) , Cienna and Cody Noble. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and a gentle spirit, she will be interned on July 30,2026 in Greenwood Cemetery in Port Alberni, BC surrounded by close family and friends. No longer in pain or suffering she is safely rejoicing in Heaven.
